چکیده
2.1.1 Full Maxwell’s Equations The full set of Maxwell’s equations come in two forms. The first form is called either the integral or volume form and is shown in Table 2.1. These set of four equations show the interrelationships of the basic physical quantities studied in electromagnetics, which are summarized in Table 2.2. This form of Maxwell’s equations elegantly relates volumeand area-integrals of different field components.

On the Optimum Directivity of Uniformly Spaced Broadside Arrays of Parallel Half-Wave Dipoles (RESEARCH NOTES)
The nominal directivity for uniformly spaced broadside parallel half-wave dipoles associated with a uniform excitation is evaluated. The amplitude distribution for an optimized directivity is then obtained for different numbers of elements with the separations between the dipoles as a variable. The optimum and nominal directivities are compared for different spacings of the elements. While thes...
متن کاملSome notes on convergence of homotopy based methods for functional equations
Although homotopy-based methods, namely homotopy analysis method andhomotopy perturbation method, have largely been used to solve functionalequations, there are still serious questions on the convergence issue of thesemethods. Some authors have tried to prove convergence of these methods, butthe researchers in this article indicate that some of those discussions are faulty. Here, after criticizi...
متن کاملNotes on the algebraic structure of wave equations
There are many examples of wave equations in the physical sciences, characterized by oscillating solutions that propagate through space and time while, in lossless media, conserving energy. Examples include the scalar wave equation (e.g. pressure waves in a gas), Maxwell’s equations (electromagnetism), Schrödinger’s equation (quantum mechanics), elastic vibrations, and so on. From an algebraic ...
متن کاملSolution of Wave Equations Near Seawalls by Finite Element Method
A 2D finite element model for the solution of wave equations is developed. The fluid is considered as incompressible and irrotational. This is a difficult mathematical problem to solve numerically as well as analytically because the condition of the dynamic boundary (Bernoulli’s equation) on the free surface is not fixed and varies with time. The finite element technique is applied to solve non...
متن کاملEFFECT OF COUNTERPROPAGATING CAPILLARY GRAVITY WAVE PACKETS ON THIRD ORDER NONLINEAR EVOLUTION EQUATIONS IN THE PRESENCE OF WIND FLOWING OVER WATER
Asymptotically exact and nonlocal third order nonlinear evolution equations are derivedfor two counterpropagating surface capillary gravity wave packets in deep water in thepresence of wind flowing over water. From these evolution equations stability analysis ismade for a uniform standing surface capillary gravity wave trains for longitudinal perturbation. Instability condition is obtained and g...
